Solar cell maximum power point tracking (MPPT)

The solar cell maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is to ensure that the photovoltaic cell always outputs the maximum power when the light intensity changes, so as to make full use of solar energy. In general, it is necessary to use a switch-mode DC-DC converter to realize the MPPT function to keep the product of output voltage and charging current (output power) maximized,

CN3722 adopts the switch step-down mode DC-DC conversion method to realize the maximum power point tracking function of photovoltaic cells, and its input voltage can reach up to 25V, which is very suitable for applications where the input voltage and the battery voltage are quite different.

Charging management board features:
1. High-end technology MPPT solar maximum power tracking charging management chip, with trickle, constant current, and constant voltage charging management
2. Imported high frequency low conduction internal resistance double MOS tube, high current diode, high efficiency flat high power inductor, constantan current detection resistor
3. Intelligent temperature control heat dissipation system, automatically detect the temperature of the charging management board and turn on the radiator (additional radiator needs to be equipped separately)
4. High-speed and high-efficiency charging method, low heat generation and fast speed
5. Dual status indicator lights, the red light flashes when the battery is not connected, the green light is always on, the red light is on when charging, it will stop when it is full and the green light is on at the same time

During adjustment, the no-load voltage is recommended to be lower than the actual charging junction voltage by 0.1V (for example, 4.2V*3 string=12.6V is set to 12.5V), because the voltage will automatically be higher than the set no-load voltage when the charging is terminated
