First, the feature

Model HWG-BTS-

10A laptop battery tester is our newest developed high-tech product which can offer a complete test for laptop battery. 

There are many functions for this product: Charge battery, Discharge battery, automatic test, age battery, load SDS data of battery , Anti-pick protection and support different circuit scheme battery pack.

Second, manual for the test.

1. Plug in the 16V AC adapter or using the built-in battery, then trun on the Switch, LCD display standby

2. Find the related battery port to connect it on the battery tester.

3. Charging Test: After connecting the battery, push CHARGE button, the tester is begin to charge battery, the normal current is 0.7A. If U want to quit the stage of charge, please push CHARGE button again. You can see the present data of charge current and voltage. Please back to the standby stage when you are not charging the battery or without connecting the battery. 

4. Discharging Test: After connecting the battery, push DISCHARGE button, the tester is begin to discharge battery, the normal current is 1.6A. If U want to quit the stage of discharge, please push DISCHARGE button again. You can see the present data of charge current and voltage. Please back to the standby stage when you are not charging the battery or without connecting the battery. 

5. Automatic Test: After connecting the battery, push TEST button, the tester is begin to test battery automatically. The automatic test is including 3 parts.

(a)  If the communication of battery works well, it will move on to the next step. If not, it    will stop and display the fault of the communication.

(b)  If the load of battery SBS data is works well, it will move on to the next step. If not, it will stop and display the fault of the load of battery SBS data.

(c)  FCC Test: The tester can load the FCC data and cycle number to judge the capacity of battery is fault or pass. If it works well, it will move on to the next step. If not, it will stop and display the fault of FCC Test.

Decision condition:

¨ If  Cycle count<100, FCC >(design capacity*1/3), Capacity pass.

¨ If  100<Cycle count<200, FCC >(design capacity*1/4) , Capacity pass.

¨ If  200<Cycle count<500, FCC >(design capacity*1/5) , Capacity pass

¨ If  Cycle count>500, FCC, it means it can use for a long time. 

(d)  Temperature Test: If the temperature of battery is from -20°C to 75°C, it can pass. If not,  it will stop and display the fault of Temperature Test 

(e)  Voltage Test: If the Voltage is simliar with the real battery voltage, the error is within

±600mV. It can pass. not,  it will stop and display the fault of Voltage Test 

(f)  Charge Test: If the Charge Voltage>4.15V, it can pass.(FCC>95%,the battery is closed to the full stage). If the Charge Current>15mA,it can pass.

(g)  Discharge Test: If Discharge Voltage≤total number of battery series connection*3V, it can pass. If Discharge Current≥1000mA, it can pass.

(h)  Unless the first test pass, or it won't move on to the next test. It can let you know which test the battery cannot pass.

Fourth, attention

1. Don't put the battery connect port to your laptop

2. Please back to the standby stage when you are not charging or discharging the battery or without connecting the battery.

3.  Anti-pick protection when the battery is connect to the tester in the wrong way, it will sound warning noise. Please connect the battery in perspective.
